Phillip Bridgmon  is currently the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

Phillip is an award winning faculty member for almost 20 years across the disciplines of public policy, political science, public administration and criminal justice. He is someone who is recognized for program, departmental, university, discipline and community stewardship including reviving a graduate program and founding a new department. Phillip has also been a part of over fifty different presentations, publications, conference papers and has also be invited to talks, including books, essays, book chapters and referred articles.

During his career, Phillip Bridgmon has held several different administrative as well as teaching appointments at Grand Valley State University, MI, James Madison University, VA, and the University of North Alabama. His commitment to professional development has lead to a specialized study at the University of Michigan, Harvard University, and Vanderbilt University.

Phillip was motivated to teach by the teachers he has himself while in the school system. They inspired him to stay in school and caused him to want to inspire students that he was teaching. He wants his students to gain the confidence to tackle new questions and problems on their own with the skills he helped to provide them with.

When Phillip isn’t working, he donates his time to various charities, including: Cramer Children’s Center, Habitat for Humanity, Alabama Leadership Initiative, Boys and Girls Club baseball coach and many others.
